(my regular spot) Strada is my go-to for breakfast and honestly the only place I’ll go. The food is always fresh, packed with flavour and comes out quickly. Portion sizes are generous and it’s worth every penny every single time. The owner is absolutely lovely and the staff are just as kind and welcoming. There’s a real homely atmosphere here and you feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Drinks: I don’t drink coffee but the tea is always spot on. Honestly the best tea I’ve had and I’ve had plenty. The fresh juices are great too. Parking: Plenty of parking right outside which makes it even easier. Overall: Can’t fault a thing. Great food, amazing people, homely vibe. Highly recommend the South African special if you visit. If you’re after a proper breakfast spot this is the one. Writing this at 4.30 in the morning because I’m actually missing the breakfast right now. That says it all.

What can I say? This is not the first time I have visited Strada, and it won't be the last. The food here is incredible, and the service is 10/10. The owner is passionate about food and always trying different flavours and incorporating them in his menu. The coffee is the best, and my fav is the iced pistachio latte. The place was packed out as always but the food never takes long to arrive. We can't wait to go back.

Outstanding food and passionate service. I had the Strada Special breakfast - I wanted the plain beans initially but after being convinced to try the spiced beans, I was delighted. Excellent breakfast all round. Mrs had the Turkish breakfast which went down a treat. If you like your teas like I do, definitely try the House Blend loose leaf tea - it is excellent! Same goes for the Mango and Guava juice, very refreshing! Worth every penny for me. Be back soon!

A Hidden Gem in Heckmondwike – Strada Café is Pure Magic After a difficult period in life, I stumbled upon a place that genuinely lifted my spirits – Strada Café in Heckmondwike. From the moment I stepped inside with my niece, it felt like a warm hug for the soul. Ivan, the owner, is a rare kind of human – kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. His presence alone set the tone for what turned out to be a truly special visit. He didn’t just serve us food – he made us feel seen, welcome, and at ease, something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. The food? Out of this world. My niece ordered the Strada Special Original Breakfast – the lamb sausage was unlike anything we’ve had before, and the hash was such a delicious, unique touch. I went for the Strada Shakshuka, and let me tell you – the flavours were deep, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick of spice. You could feel the love that went into every bite. To top it off, I had the Luxury Nutella Latte. Words don’t do it justice. It wasn’t just a coffee – it was an experience. Ivan freshly ground the beans himself (no instant shortcuts here!) and combined it with a heavenly Nutella twist. Trust me, you’ve never had anything like it. The café itself is full of personality – eclectic, warm, and inviting, just like the people who run it. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. Strada is a true hidden gem, and everyone needs to know about it. I can’t wait to go back – the lunch menu is calling my name! If you’re ever nearby (or even if you’re not), make the trip. You’ll leave with a full belly and a full heart.

I had the pleasure of visiting Strade Bistro for breakfast, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, the warm hospitality from the owner made me feel truly welcome. I ordered the Turkish eggs, and they were absolutely fantastic—perfectly balanced flavors with a creamy, spiced richness that made every bite a delight. To complement the meal, I had a strong traditional coffee recommended by the owner, and it was the perfect pairing—bold, aromatic, and just what I needed. Beyond the incredible food, what stood out most was the personal touch from the owner, whose passion for good food and great service was evident. Strade Bistro isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to enjoy an experience. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu based on their recommendations! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

10/10 breakfast at Strada! We had the strada special (large) and Turkish Eggs - both amazing and a lot of attention to detail within the dishes. Ivan is really knowledgable and passionate about food and coffee and it was great to chat to him!

Attended for an anniversary breakfast meal and it was a very good choice. The owner is such a nice gentleman and made us both feel welcome and we had a nice chat It’s amazing to see an owner/chef who understands the needs of customers. He suggested several options based on what I said I liked and removed and changed up certain things I didn’t like The food was exceptional and good portion sizes. The Philly cheesesteak croquet madame was very tasty. The brisket was different to the normal overly sweet bbq style most places serve. I could tell it was prepared with care and it had a deep rich flavour I would always recommend trying the French toast here. You will not find better elsewhere. The special Ras malai French toast was very, very nice. So many different flavours and textures The drinks here are very good too. I had a very nice matcha drink For any breakfast/brunch lovers, this is a must visit place! You will not be disappointed!

I tried the Ultimate South African Breakfast and Special Strada, and both were absolutely amazing. The latte was smooth and rich, while the juice of the day was exceptional. The owner made a special chai for me which was incredible! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner was so lovely and welcoming. Top tier food, drinks, and service!!
